IFETEL will be closed for annual holiday from July 18th to July 29th, delays would be expected.
Regarding to the Guidelines for the approval of products, equipment, devices or appliances intended for telecommunications or broadcasting issued on Dec. 29, 2021, some changes to IFT homologation certificate/ procedure will be in force from June 27, 2022.
Certificate modification would be available for the new IFT certificate (issue date after June 27, 2022), following modification is available:
- Legal address of cert holder
- Legal representative of cert holder
- Importers information
- HS codes, country of origin, batches (quantity unit for Scheme II)
Some other changes of the new procedures:
- 1 single certificate will be listed all applicable telecom NOMs
- IFETEL certificate will be granted with an indefinite validity.
For type B and C certificate will require to submit another application within 90 days prior of 2 years (from issue date) to maintain its validity indefinitely. (we suggest to apply after 11 weeks of certificate issuance)
Note:
Type A: Homologation of products which frequency bands and/or interfaces all fall under the scope of a NOM or IFETEL’s Technical Provision without a NOM (IFT-012) (i.e. Bluetooth only-devices)
Type B: Homologation of equipment that does not fall under the scope of any telecom NOM or Technical Provision (i.e. RFID 13.56MHz)
Type C: Homologation of equipment that are subject to Type A and Type B at the same time (i.e. WiFi abgn/ac)
